Homes that work are the ones where decisions serve two purposes - how the space functions, and how it feels.

I design homes that respond deliberately to their surroundings and are shaped around how you actually live, and refined to elevate your everyday - not a template, but a solution built for your site, your goals, and your lifestyle. From our first conversation through the day you move in, I bring clarity and direction to the process, so the path forward is never in question.

With sketches, 3D models, and precise technical drawings, I resolve the questions that determine whether a home truly works: how rooms connect, how light moves through a space, how proportion and details shape the way it feel. Rendered models bring each space to life throughout the process, giving you a clear picture of the home taking shape, long before it’s built.

About Me

David Wrensen

Principal, DRW Architecture

While earning my Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon in 2008, I spent three summers working with a custom residential architecture firm in Bend, Oregon.

Upon moving to Denver, I spent 12 years at two established firms, contributing to a wide variety of project types, and working toward licensure.

Communicating and coordinating with clients, engineers, and contractors on complex projects honed my understanding of how projects come together. Refining my ability to build detailed digital models and produce clear construction documents. My experience has been refined by lots of time on construction sites, learning and problem solving through each phase of construction.

Shifting back to residential work in 2021, I lead the architecture and design studio for a team developing a rapid off-site framing systems for homes and ADU’s.

In 2024, I chose to refocus on to passion for more tailored, custom residential work, and launched DRW Architecture where I’ve collaborated with repeat clients, developers, trusted consultants and builders, and leading new clients through their first custom project.
